📝 2nd Grade English (ELA): Parts of Speech Study Notes
Understanding the different jobs words do in a sentence helps us to read, write, and speak clearly. These jobs are called Parts of Speech. Think of words as tools in a toolbox, and each tool has a special job!
📝 What are Parts of Speech?
Every word we use has a role in a sentence. Knowing these roles helps us build sentences correctly and understand what others are trying to say. For 2nd graders, the most important parts of speech to learn are Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives.
🍎 Nouns: Naming Words
