Hello, young scientists! Have you ever wondered where the energy we use every day comes from? Energy helps us do many things, like light up our homes, power our cars, and even play video games! There are two main kinds of energy sources: renewable and nonrenewable. Renewable energy sources are like a never-ending supply. They come from things that Earth can naturally replace, or that won't run out for a very long time. Think about the sun shining brightly, the wind blowing, or water flowing in a river – these are all renewable! We can use them over and over again without worrying too much. On the other hand, nonrenewable energy sources are limited. Once we use them up, they're gone forever, or they take millions of years to form again. Coal, oil, and natural gas are examples of nonrenewable sources. It's important to learn about both so we can make smart choices about how we power our world and protect our planet for the future!
